San Bruno Grade Separation San Bruno, California Creating Separation A high number of fatalities occurring at train crossings in San Bruno, Calif., warranted the need for the San Bruno Grade Separation Project, which provides safer crossing options for both vehicles and pedestrians. The project provides an elevated commuter rail trackway, a new railway station/intermodal facility and new pedestrian undercrossings at three corridor locations, as well as a variety of context-related landscape, urban design, and public safety features.
