Sampson & Ludgate House Mixed Use The masterplan and proposed buildings will create a significant destination quarter on the River Thames and form a gateway to the London Borough of Southwark. The project re-invigorates a large site between Blackfriars Bridge and Tate Modern; replacing two divisive blocks on either side of a mainline railway running north-south through London: Ludgate House, an office headquarters, and Sampson House, a former data centre for Lloyds Bank presently used by IBM as a disaster recovery centre. The residential-led development combines nine buildings providing homes, offices, cultural, retail and leisure amenities, elevated gardens and landscaped public spaces, facilitating permeability and connectivity to the river and reinstating historic riverfront walkways.
