SABIC completes Energy Efficiency upgrade project SABIC has completed a significant lighting and energy controls upgrade project at its Selkirk, NY manufacturing site with the help of a more than $900,000 energy rebate from National Grid. This successful investment and collaboration helps support one of SABIC’s key sustainability initiatives: reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The energy savings from this project is equivalent to providing electricity to more than 200 homes in a medium sized American city annually, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing more than 800 vehicles from the road annually.
