Clifford Devlin were appointed to decontaminate several underground service ducts to facilitate a major re-building refurbishment scheme. The works were carried out according to specifica- tions prepared by the client's consultants Airbourne Environmental Consultants (AEC). These required all asbestos containing material identified in surveys to be removed from various locations including: Pipe-work; walls, floors and ceilings; redundant gaskets and general debris. The project involved removing asbestos from seven underground service ducts which totalled over 1600 metres of ducting. These needed to remain operational throughout the work.
