Contractors Interserve and painting sub-contractors Jorgensen recommended that, after stripping back the window frames and removing rotten timber, the Dulux Trade Weathershield Exterior Gloss System (WEGS) should be specified, for the interior and exterior sash windows, due to its long-lasting, high gloss finish and because it offers up to eight years’ protection. Before it was applied, the window frames were stripped back and the rotten timber was cut out and replaced.
