Rosebud Sioux Tribe $14.6 Million TIGER Grant Project The Rosebud Indian Reservation, in Todd County, SD, is home to the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. As a result of the poor condition, travelers in the area experienced transportation challenges including limited visibility, lack of transportation access, and constrained transportation options along BIA Route 7 – a vital arterial corridor spanning from the City of Rosebud to US Highway 83. As a result, the corridor needed to be reconstructed and the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and Todd County did not have the financial means to fund the $22.6 million project. Therefore, in 2015 the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and Todd County commissioned KLJ to identify and apply for funding opportunities that fit the project.
