Roehampton House Project brief Tarmac Building Products were asked to supply Queen Mary’s development (a historic London hospital converted into apartments) with Tarmac Heritage Hydraulic Lime Mortars. The Project The project ‘s aim is to convert Grade I Baroque stately home Roehampton House into residential use with a mix of old and modern construction materials. Roehampton House is a Grade I Baroque Stately Home built by Thomas Archer over the years 1710-12 and later enlarged by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1910. The house is being carefully restored, maintaining its original features both internally and externally, with Doric columns and wrought iron railings giving way to panelled walls, ornate painted ceilings and black and white marble.
