CASE STUDIES HOUSING River Park Housing Project New Boiler Plant Bronx, NY Lizardos designed a new boiler plant to serve four (44-story, each with 1600 units) apartment buildings, located at 10, 20, 30, 40 Richman Plaza. The new boiler plant was designed with eleven modular gas-fired condensing type (1,000,000 BTU each) hot water boilers (Aerco BMK Series). These new boilers provide the heating and the domestic hot water for the tenants. A dedicated pumping system to zone the heating and domestic hot water systems and feed the building was incorporated as well as new hot water distribution piping, perimeter radiation and cabinet heaters to serve all the apartments and public spaces.
