Project Highlights: Originally constructed in 1997, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Johor Bahru was redeveloped as a four-star hotel in accordance with the Hilton Worldwide Design and Construction Standard. The updated hotel in southern Malaysia occupies a total gross floor area of close to 40,000 square meters. The retrofit of the original building required the T. Y . Lin International (TYLI) team to review and repair existing mechanical and electrical equipment, and to identify, assess, and recommend a range of alternative energy-efficient solutions best-suited to meet the needs of the existing structure.
