Research Into Driver Pedal Feel Preference HORIBA MIRA ’s client was keen to ?nd out how their customers would react to a new form of braking technology: brake-by-wire. In order to achieve this a test group of ‘non-industry professionals’ was set up across a broad demographic to ensure that the ?ndings would involve feedback from users of all ages, sexes and driving ability levels. Before testing could be conducted HORIBA MIRA carried out ethical checks including psychological pro?ling and brie?ng sessions to ensure that the participants’ well-being was maintained at all times. HORIBA MIRA were also responsible for sourcing the test participants and establishing the necessary test criteria.
