Remote online condition monitoring Comboios de Portugal – Remote online condition monitoring Regional Railcars, PT CP and EMEF completed a refurbishment project between 2000-2004. EMEF equipped this fleet with a Remote Online Condition Monitoring (ROCM). This project gave Portugal its first railway ROCM system, in order to promote operational and maintenance costs reduction. Achievements: No defect found faults average decrease of 27.5% Reliability average increase of 12.5% Availability average increase of 9.5% The installed system collects the required data from the existing on-board equipment.
