The airport is located 32 kilometers from the nation’s capital city, Amman. Challenge In 2007, in order to meet a rapid growth in passenger tra?c, the government of Jordan began a program to rehabilitate, expand and modernize the airport. Solution The Airport International Group consortium and a joint venture of Joannou & Paraskevaides (Overseas) Ltd. and J&P-AVAX S.A. chose Louis Berger to provide independent engineering services. Louis Berger monitored project schedules and costs, and supervised construction. Transfer of operations to the new airport passenger terminal occurred in March2013. Features
