RF2B used Altair Feko to accelerate the design of a phased array antenna for small cell base stations operating in the CBRS band. The project required precise beam steering, efficiency optimization, and suppression of grating lobes within tight deadlines. Using finite array analysis and built-in synthesis tools, RF2B rapidly evaluated design tradeoffs including element spacing, tapering, and enclosure effects. The optimized antenna design was validated against physical measurements with strong correlation. Simulation reduced design time by 25% while enabling accurate, high-performance antenna solutions delivered on schedule.
