Case Study
Reconstructing Trajectories
Studying the swimming behavior of copepods generates many challenges. Copepods are sensitive to light, move in jerky motions and a high number and duration of their trajectories is needed for statistical analysis. To meet these challenges, the Environmental Fluid Dynamics Group at ETH Zurich uses the 3D-PTV technique. Equipped with four Mikrotron EoSens ® cameras, the system combines high recording durations, high light sensitivity and high-
