RatoathAthletics Club Ratoath, County Meath, Ireland CASE STUDY Ratoath Athletics Club in Ireland has recently expanded its facilities as part of a wider development at the site which included a new artificial turf pitch and extra tennis court. The club had an existing 6 lane 400m natural grass track around the perimeter of Ratoath Rugby Clu b’s main pitch, but an all weather floodlight facility was required to enable all year round training. To ensure the cl ub’s facilities could all be at one location, an uneven piece of land had to be built up, including the installation of full drainage and a retaining wall. This created an elevated, even area of 1,600m2 suitable for the creation of a 6 lane 100m sprint track and two field event practice areas. Sports Ground Specialists were the chosen
