Project Finch - assessing environmental issues We were engaged to undertake environmental due diligence (EDD) on a portfolio of eight active care home sites across Northern Ireland. Our client needed to rapidly assess liabilities associated with land quality, mining, flooding, environmental compliance and regulatory concerns prior to putting the portfolio forward as an acquisition target. Although the sites are currently in use as care homes, varied historical and contemporary land uses, including industrial activities at or near a number of the sites, were identified during the assessments.
