Project Profile: Walney Extension Project Case Study: Walney Extension Description: FairWind was involved in pre-assembly of 47 Siemens 7 MW offshore turbines for Walney Extension, the largest offshore wind farm in the world. Pre-assembly was conducted at Belfast Harbour in the United Kingdom, where weather conditions heavily challenged our assembly teams. High winds at the harbour usually meant that installation ships were completing their work faster due to better conditions out at sea.
