Abstract A Department of Defense (DoD) manufacturing company was awarded a major contract to assemble trucks with a new requirement to utilize the AIAG Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) on all supplied components. TPS was engaged to lead a collaborative effort with the Manufacturer to establish a PPAP strategy and an overall plan that tied incoming product from over 300 suppliers to a PPAP approval status on over 5,000 component and assembly part numbers.
