ISN have successfully installed a wireless network to provide Wi-Fi coverage throughout St George’s School, installing 9 CISCO lightweight access points with cabling through the roof space connecting all back to a new central Wireless LAN Controller (WLC). This has enabled students and teaching staff to use mobile technology anywhere in the school, including the school grounds. Previously with only one ICT suite, the number of students who could be online at any one time was limited. Now there is also flexibility for larger numbers of pupils to use IPADs and PC’s etc. simultaneously. With Wi-Fi in all areas of the school, students are no longer restricted to a limited amount of time to benefit from ICT. It’s a much more flexible way to use IT within the school. The solution
