Client: Scottish Water via Kelda Water Services The headwall section of the main outfall for the Persley Waste Water Treatment Works, on the River Don in Scotland, had been largely washed away during storms when the site flooded. Kelda Water Services were tasked with carrying out the headwall repairs and appointed ACG Civils. KWS is part of the Kelda Group - owner of Yorkshire Water, one of the UK's leading water and waste water companies. In order to carry out the repairs, the outfall, needed isolating from the main river. The River Don, is a flashy river therefore a suitably robust and reliable temporary dam was required.
