Port Mann Bridge
Port Mann Bridge City Vancouver, B.C. Country Canada Client Province of British Columbia Contract type Design-Build HOCHTIEF US subsidiary Flatiron was part of a joint venture team that built the new Port Mann Bridge in Vancouver between 2009 and 2013. The cablestayed bridge increases the Fraser River crossing’s capacity from five to ten lanes and reduces average travel times by 30 percent. In addition to the bridge itself, work also included upgrading a good 37 kilometers of Highway 1 on each side of the river. The new bridge will be financed by tolls.
