PoINT Software & Systems GmbH helped Belgischer Rundfunk (BRF) digitize and securely archive vast amounts of old audio and video recordings using PoINT Storage Manager. By integrating an LTO-8 tape library seamlessly into BRF's existing storage infrastructure, the solution enabled cost-effective digital tape archiving with automatic hierarchical storage management. This allowed BRF to maintain fast, transparent access to archived data in a non-proprietary format, supporting scalable media preservation and efficient content retrieval while significantly reducing storage costs.
