Philips Consumer Lifestyle launched the Simply Philips Lean manufacturing program in 2009 to boost operational excellence across its global sites. With Henkan as lead consultants, the initiative began at the Hungary TV plant and followed a 5-phase approach—starting with leadership training and structural alignment, progressing through kaizen events, 6S, standard work, and cultural transformation. Lean methods were later scaled factory-wide, including warehouses and offices. Henkan’s train-the-trainer model enabled sustained implementation. The result: over €10 million in cost savings and recognition as Philips’ most advanced Lean site.
