Philippe Hollevout & Watco, a colourful story We met with Philippe Hollevout, a renowned french painter, who specialises in frescos and murals. His best known works include murals for the Comic Books festival in Haarlem (Netherlands), the Printemps de Bourges festival in France, and the launch of the new Mini-Cooper. The artist’s studio-gallery is based in Lille and is highly recognisable, with its facade decorated with a huge yellow lion over a bright red background. But what is the connection with Watco? About 15 years ago, Philippe Hollevout created a mural to brighten up the area surrounding the School Jean Macé in the city of Roubaix.
