PCE Plume Remediation at an Industrial Facility, Akron, OH
PCE Plume Remediation at an Industrial Facility, Akron, OH Site investigation revealed elevated levels of tetrachloroethene (PCE) in the subsurface soils to a depth of 10 feet. The soils consisted of a sti silty clay and the PCE had impacted a total volume of 1,080 cubic yards. Due to a number of subsurface utilities present at the site and the shallow nature of the contaminants, our patented uid-jetting system was utilized to advance the probe rod into the subsurface on a 3 foot injection matrix. With the exception of sampling location GP-9, the site speci c cleanup objective of 1 mg/ kg was achieved with a single treatment event within two months.
