Client Challenge The project involved KFC’s Bishopsgate restaurant, in the heart of London’s financial district, opposite Liverpool Street Station, and in the shadow of ‘The Gherkin’. Works to the existing KFC restaurant formed part of a nationwide refurbishment and re- branding scheme. The property was subject to a full internal refit, including structural alterations to provide additional seating accommodation and provision of a passenger lift to allow unencumbered disabled access throughout. Due to the structural alterations, the insertion of beams into the party walls on both sides of the property was required at multiple floor levels.
