The Caledonian construction process uses modular and volumetric techniques – creating buildings from a series of factory manufactured room modules. In addition Caledonian has spent signicant development time on the combination of these modular techniques with other forms of construction in order to “optimise” a building’s construction process – using the most suitable construction technique for each part of the building and connecting these techniques to maximise o-site content and commercial benet. The Paragon project is a good example of these techniques being used in practice to construct large structures which previously would not have been considered possible with such a high degree of osite content. The Paragon modules were manufactured using fully welded steel frames, with hot r
