The Caledonian construction process uses modular and volumetric techniques – creating buildings from a series of factory manufactured room modules. In addition Caledonian has spent signi cant development time on the combination of these modular techniques with other forms of construction in order to “optimise” a building’s construction process – using the most suitable construction technique for each part of the building and connecting these techniques to maximise o -site content and commercial bene t. The Paragon project is a good example of these techniques being used in practice to construct large structures which previously would not have been considered possible with such a high degree of o site content. The Paragon modules were manufactured using fully welded steel frames, with hot r
