The new building will increase gallery space by 50% to 25,000ft 2 including 10,000ft 2 of space for educational programs and performances, as well as a public plaza. BuroHappold is providing integrated engineering services for the museum that will require a high level of environmental control to protect the collection, while meeting the overall sustainability and energy goals of the project.
