INTRODUCTION In May 2011, Prodeco International Limited awarded Boskalis International B.V. the project for the expansion of the Federal Lighter Terminal (FLT) and Federal Ocean Terminal (FOT) of the Onne Port Complex. The project entails the reclamation of approximately 200ha with suitable materials from nearby borrow areas. In the Port Harcourt area, the Onne Oil & Gas Free Zone is undergoing a massive expansion under the management of Intels & Prodeco. The facilities in Onne will provide the oil & gas industry with a supply base, warehousing, and fabrication yards, and other related activities. There is also a general container cargo facility. All activities need more space, more quay wall length with sufficient deep water, and more industrial areas. DREDGING AND RECLAMA
