Okinawa University With its proud founding spirit of providing equal opportunities in education, Okinawa University was one of the first tertiary facilities to accept students with disabilities. Continuing its efforts, the university introduced AI-Mimi by Si- Com to make lectures more accessible for students with hearing impairments. This transcription service uses a hybrid design combining Speech Service a customizable voice recognition feature of Azure Cognitive Services with corrections by professional human operators.
