The Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF) housed on the campus of NREL will be the nation’s first facility that can conduct research and development of the components and strategies needed in order to safely move clean energy technologies onto the electrical grid at the speed and scale required to meet national goals. A couple hundred Scientist and Engineers will work at the state-of-the-art fully equipped labs and outdoor test areas.
