NOBSKA LIGHT Woods Hole, MA The Friends of Nobska Light partnered with Coastal Engineering Co. and Brown, Lindquist, Fenuccio & Raber Architects to restore and preserve Nobska Light, a cherished icon of the greater Falmouth area. This federally-owned lighthouse listed on the National Register of Historic Places is located in a rolling well vegetated low density residential area that forms part of the backdrop for the lighthouse. The overall objective of the project was to maintain the picturesque quality of the buildings, the site, and its setting. The first step was to maintain and restore the keepers’ houses and tower so that they can be opened to the public.
