In the Newmarket Viaduct Replacement Project, the deconstruction and construction were accomplished in stages, which minimized the impact on traffic throughout the four-year construction period. A key feature was replacing the 700- meter- long Newmarket Viaduct with a balanced cantilever structure. Motorists have been using the completed section since 2012.
