New Central Library City San Diego, CA Country USA Client The City of San Diego, California Special feature Green Building In 2010 Turner secured the contract for the New Central Library in San Diego. With floor space of 45,700 square meters spread over nine stories, the library includes a technology center, a 350-seat auditorium, a 400-seat multi-purpose room, reading rooms, a children’s library, an outdoor plaza and café, and underground parking. Carried out to meet sustainability standards, the project is registered for LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
