NetMove Corporation: Acquiring P2PE Certification with Thales Payment HSM
NetMove Corporation, a major Japanese cashless payment provider, enhanced security for its Spayd mobile payment service by implementing Thales Luna EFT Payment HSMs. These devices manage encryption key lifecycles and ensure PCI DSS and PCI P2PE compliance, enabling NetMove to become Japan’s first PCI P2PE-certified provider. The solution uses DUKPT key management for end-to-end encryption of credit card data, ensuring zero exposure of plaintext information. With support from Thales’ global team, NetMove achieved rapid deployment and scalability, processing 560 billion yen annually. The company plans to upgrade to Thales payShield 10K for faster, more robust processing and ongoing PCI certification renewals.
