Study Case - Landing lights for Antarctica (2016, 2017)Why CORE Lighting was used for Antarctica? Five Battery Powered LED Wireless Flood Lights were able to illuminate a small runway in Antarctica for NAS (Niche Aviation Solutions) by using a ‘Running rabbit’ sequence. All of the units are wireless controlled, portable, recharge- able and rugged. Next to that, the units of us are able to withstand the cold climate in Antarctica. Our Flood Lights are not just for evenings/nights because they are even vi- sible from 9 miles away in the sunlight. The Flood Lights were tested beforehand in a field, a picture of this is dis- played on the right.
