866.835.9859 | www.plyboo.com Mission Bay Office Building Located in the Mission Bay District of San Francisco, this area was formerly home to warehouses, a cement factory and plenty of vacant lots. Now rapidly developing, this area has become home to biotechnology firms, university research centers, office buildings and residential development. For the wall treatments in the lobby area, flat grain amber bamboo plywood was used to clad wall surfaces. T o give the panels more definition, the architects had a groove etched into the face of the panels at 6" intervals. Stainless steel horizontal reliefs were also integrated to create added interest and offer room for the panels to expand and contract as needed.
