Michigan Stadium Ann Arbor, Michigan The University hired HNTB to provide complete design services to renovate and expand historic Michigan Stadium. This $225 million project included the addition of two 530’ long, multi-story structures on both the east and west sides of the stadium that provide improved fan amenities, new restrooms and concessions, club seats, suites and press facilities. Two new elevated concourses were also added on both sides of the stadium to improve access and safety. Other improvements included widening existing aisles and seats, and adding handrails and dedicated seating for fans with impaired mobility. Construction was phased over three football seasons.
