Membrane BioReactor (MBR) Machine In April 2011, Pure Aqua successfully supplied a Membrane BioReactor (MBR) machine to a major company in Saudi Arabia. The machine was designed to produce 10,000 GPD. From its initial start-up, the machine has been operating accordingly with minimal trouble-shooting. The Membrane BioReactor (MBR) is a qualified sewage treatment machine using Pure Aqua’s water treatment expertise with Toray’s submerged membrane technology. The membrane separation process takes out the conventional sedimentation tank and permits high volumetric loading, concluding with a smaller footprint. The MBR can generate superior quality effluent with high BOD5 removal (about 98%), complete nitrification and semi de-nitrification and accomplishes virtually complete TSS
