MCTV solved IPv4 exhaustion for both fiber-to-the-home and cable networks by deploying A10 Thunder CGN, enabling 31 times higher subscriber coverage per IPv4 address. The solution supported unique requirements for online gamers, expanded service areas in Ohio and West Virginia, and ensured availability of residential internet, digital TV, and phone services. Additionally, 90 percent of customers were seamlessly migrated to the new system. These improvements addressed critical challenges of maximizing IPv4 resources and expanding coverage while overcoming address shortages. The project was led by Systems Engineer Michael Robinson.
