Marlay-Taylor Water Reclamation Facility
Facility Summary The Marlay Taylor Water Reclamation facility, MD currently treats an average flow of 4.0 MGD. The existing facility was designed to treat an annual average daily flow of 6.0 million gallons per day (MGD), a max monthly flow of 8.01 MGD, a max daily flow of 15.2 MGD, and a peak hourly flow of 20 MGD. The existing facility consists of influent screening, grit removal, primary clarification, two aeration tanks, four secondary clarifiers and chlorine gas disinfection. The secondary treatment system is made up of two aeration trains. Each train is configured as a four stage Bardenpho with retrievable fine bubble tube diffusers in the first three aerobic zones and retrievable coarse bubble diffusers in the re-aeration zone.
