Malcolm X College Chicago, Illinois 360 Belled Caissons for the new Malcolm X Community College and parking structure. Caissons ranged from 2.5’ diameter shafts with 5.0’ diameter bells to 6.0’ diameter shafts with 16.0’ diameter bells. During the months of January and February, crews placed approximately 7,000 cubic yards of concrete and over 100 tons of reinforcing steel to finish the project. Owner: City Colleges of Chicago C
