Trinity River Lumber Co. in Weaverville, CA, cuts Douglas fir and white fir logs into dimensional lumber. Since the first mill opened 75 years ago, the facility has been a critical part of the local economy. The facility was rebuilt a decade ago following a devastating fire. At the time of the rebuild, the mill’s maintenance and reli-ability initiatives advanced with their equipment, which in-cludes 20 electro-hydraulic servo valves critical to keeping logs flowing through the mill. To protect these new assets, the mill developed a lubricant cleanliness standard.
