Challenges LOWERY ELEMENTARY Ascension Public Schools Donaldsonville, LA A turnaround school, Lowery Elementary implemented Kickboard in fall 2013 to support its Response to Intervention (RTI) programs for behavior. From 2013 to 2014, the rural Title I school reduced the number of behavioral infractions by 29 percent and students in grades 3-5 achieved gains on state assessments. The school also raised its School Performance Score (SPS) by 5.5 points, improved its school letter grade, and increased its teacher retention rate.
