A series of rock falls recently caused disruption to the rail services. Specialist contractors QTS Rail were tasked with protecting the line, whilst allowing train operations to continue. Using night possessions, systematic meshing and rock bolting of the slope was carried out. QTS used Minova Weldgrip Bolts and Resin systems via their rope access teams to achieve rapid support. Sophisticated rail mounted drilling equipment was used where possible, allowing rapid fixing of the anchors securing the mesh.Min
