The brief The existing Llewellyn ward did not comply with the latest regulations in terms of bariatric access and fire escape routes. The scheme was to enlarge the main entrance to the ward by building a small extension alongside it to create a more accessible route. A large external ramp was also built to make the ambulance station wide enough to accommodate all patients.
