Less wear and noise in sawing operation Background A producer of wooden structures for buildings and transport vehicles uses vacuum when handling wood panels and boards. They were looking for a more efficient and less noisy solution than what they had been using so far. Solution The company consulted Piab and a vacuum gripping system was installed. VGSTM 3010 with B110 suction cups were chosen on the after-cut palletising heads and VGSTM 3010 with F150 suction cups on the pre-cut feeder end. Result The solution from Piab resulted in a more efficient production line with reduced air consumption, lower noise level and less wear of the suction cups.
