Large Electric Utility Located in Pacific NW Project Multiple Transmission Line Rating Project Solution Converted antiquated Plan & Profile drawings to a digital PLS-CADD® model and performed various weather and loading events on the model. Analyzed the data to pin-point limiting locations restricting the 230 kV, 345 kV, and 500 kV lines from being thermally re-rated. Provided quantitative reports indicating the location and severity of the limiting cases on each line. Outcome Converted and analyzed over 1,500 miles meeting client’s stringent time lines thus enabling the client to submit reports to governing authorities within schedule.
