KKB set-up a processing plant at a salt farm located in the Huelva estuary in Andalusia, southern Spain. The plant consisted of two Chieftain 2100 screeners fed by an excavator and serviced by loading shovels to process farmed sea salt into a 3mm graded material suitable for de-icing highways. The end-product was ,manufactured to European Standard BS EN 973:2009. The six-week project produced more than 50,000 tonnes of material which was transported to depots throughout Northern Europe.
