In the redevelopment of King's Cross Square, the station's new entrance, StudioFRACTAL were commissioned to create a new lighting scheme. The project is the rst large scale public realm project in the UK to use only LED technology and Kemps were specied to provide both standard and bespoke LED luminaires for the project. The result is visually stunning, and has made an incredible impact on the building and the way people use the space. Using the building's imposing stature as a backdrop, the design was based on the idea of maximising views of the recently revealed, now illuminated, grade 1 listed building.
